New golfer here. (Less than one year) My first hybrid. I did alot of research. When I say alot, I really mean it. I was looking for something that was easy to hit since I'm a 20+ handicapper newbie. I kept seeing the Mashie name pop up in almost every page that came up. So I decided to try it. It took me a couple of buckets to start getting the feel for it but once I did....wow! It felt sooooo good to see a ball travel that far! I barely hit my driver that far! (about 190) The biggest iron I own is a 5. I was looking to close the gap between that and my 5 wood. This fits perfectly. I'm hoping that when I get a better swing, I might hit this thing over 200.

The best thing about it though, is it flys so high! About as high as I hit my 7 iron! A quick story about the first time I took it out to the course. There is this long par four at my home course thats about 440. (long for me) I hit a so-so drive that left me about 200 yds to the pin. I reached for the 5 wood but I'm so inconsistent with fairy metals I put it back and went for the Mashie. What happened next I will never forget. Whack! Straight, high and long. It landed like a butterfly carrying a sack of eggs on the front edge of the green! I truly wish you could have seen the look on my buddy's face. They were shocked as was I. Now I know that most good golfers can do that with a 5 or 6 iron. But this is me we're talking bout! Of course I 3-putted for a bogey but I didn't care. I was still grinning from ear to ear. This club will never leave my bag. Ever. I'm about to buy the 3 hybrid also.
