I was very excited when I ordered these. I live in the Adirondacks in Upstate NY so you can imagine how much use I get out of these in the winter. They are perfect for hiking uphill, the kickstand on the heal helps out so much. Really does cut down on energy used by half. My only complaint is that they have a bit to much spring action. I find that they kick up a lot of snow and my pants are usually pretty wet by the time I'm done hiking because of this. Maybe it's because they are new and just need to be broken in a bit more.
