This light is pretty great. I just finished working on a 10 week reality show where we were in the wilderness all over the world. From swamps, to mountain peaks, to jungles. It performed well in all situations.

It is a little bulky. When people first saw it, they would make little jokes but quickly shut up when they saw the superior flood this puts out. It simply crushed every other headlamp on the crew... Victory was mine!

Even though the beam is very wide, all of it was much brighter than even the center of most other lamp beams.
This is perfect for walking through the woods or anywhere where you'd want to see a large area in front of you. We even used it to signal in a helicopter across a valley. Might be overkill if all you need from a headlamp is to provide light while you rummage through a back pack.

The other huge benefit of this light was the fact that it takes AA batteries. Very easy to find in any country. This is undoubtedly what makes it bigger that other headlamps, but well worth it.

The forehead pad is comfortable and the strap held it in place nicely.
