Firstly, I love the look of this gi and the comfort. Secondly, I have serious doubts as to whether these are really pre-shrunk.I'm 6'2", 200 lbs and ordered the A3 which covers around 5'9"-6'2" and up to 210 lbs. Yes, I'm a little on the bigger side of the limitation, but right in there. I washed on cold and hung dry the first couple of times and it shrunk maybe 1/2 inch all around. I'm thin-bodied so the jacket fits the slim build.
The pants are seriously some of the best ever. The have a rounded tie that hardly ever comes undone and they've lasted easily over 150 rolling sessions with no visibile deformities or tears.
The jacket again fits the slim build, but after about 20 rolling session the bottom seam came undone and I stitched it back up...this was the only occurance of a tear in the gi and it was simply solved.
HOWEVER, I made the mistake of throwing this in the dryer after about the 3rd time I wore it and it literally shrunk about 4 inches - perfect for that whole 5'9" 180lb build. There is no way I can wear it in competitions after it shrunk so much...I would expect that from a regular gi, but "pre-shrunk" should absolutely NOT shrink 3-4 inches on the pants and sleeves.
Knowing what I know NOW, I would order the A4 and be happy with it...it's still my favorite gi, I just use it to roll now. If you're going to order one, make sure you're on the lower-half of the size fitting chart...i.e., if you're my size, go A4. If you're around 5'9 and 180, go A3, etc..
