I really didn't expect much from this product because it was priced lower then a lot of competing products, had a wierd brand name, and strange looking design. I also own one of the original jawbone jambox's. When I bought the jawbone it was the only product like it, and still has more features then this product. For instance a jambox makes a nice conference call speaker phone, this only does playback. Sound quality and volume I would rate better then the jambox, but it's a lot bigger. I haven't timed how long the battery lasts, it lasts long enough for my use. Seems to be pretty durable, but the white plastic probably will get scratched up as you bang it around. Volume won't be louder then power tools on a construction site, but it's plenty loud for the pool or backyard. Could be louder, but that's the trade off all these devices have to preserve battery life.
