Minox Macroscope 8x25 Waterproof Rubber Armored Mini Telescope, Black Edition 62207 Review

This scope is one of my favorite items in this world, period. It's small--not much bigger than a tennis ball in the hand--but opens up the world before you! Although it requires two hands to focus, the focus is smooth and easy. Once focused, the excellent eye-relief allows you to get a very full view of the scene, crisp and bright. The 8x is perfect for relatively near tasks as well--it is easy to find your target and shake is not much of an issue at all. They call this a "macroscope" because it excels at relatively close range things; think bugs, birds, and signs along the way. Of course, it also works for spotting things far away, but it's close focus lets you read the titles from a bookshelf across the room. It might sound kind of goofy, but to look at the close texture on a butterfly is really something--it's like being able to get a macro photograph of anything you see!

Now I compare this with a larger spotting scope, a Bushnell Legend Ultra HD Monocular, Black, 10 x 42-mmscope that I also love. There is no doubt that this larger scope has greater magnification (10x vs. 8x of the Minox) and gathers a bit more light to create a brighter image, even in relatively dark conditions (that's what the second number means, how big the lens is, 42mm for the Bushnell vs. 25mm on the Minox). And, although the Bushnell has a brilliant one-handed focus wheel that really works, it is a significantly larger device and much harder to carry and conceal. That being said, if size were not a factor, I would probably go with the similarly priced Bushnell unit, but if something small and portable is what you seek, I think you will be tickled by the Minox.

ASP Government Carbine Red Gun Training Series Review

This is a very well made and durable training rifle that is very authentic in appearance, although obviously not in color which is exactly why this makes a very useful and safe training aid for those wishing to hone their offensive and defensive skills without using a real firearm. You can't have an accidental discharge with a rubber gun. I have used these replica rifles in both offensive and defensive training scenarios for quite some time and have found them to be exemplary in their construction and overall durability. If you use them in a safe and practical manner they should last you for years and provide you with an excellent addition to your training exercises.

I have used them defensively in rifle disarming classes where you are faced with an attacker armed with a rifle and your only available option is to attempt a disarming technique, and I have also used them to practice offensive tactics such as; moving and firing (simulated firing), building entry and clearing, transition drills, rifle combatives, etc. Just to name a few.

These non-firing rubber training rifles are reinforced with steel rods to add support to the rubber material that makes up 90 percent or more of the rifles total mass. They are also colored a bright red in this case to make it instantly distinguishable from the real thing. Each rifle has the exact same dimensions as its counterpart and although there are NO moving parts, all of the various parts of the rifle that would normally move on a real firearm are on these training replicas. Therefore, basic movements with the replicas such as safeties, select fire switches, magazine releases, etc. can all be simulated in exactly the same way you would on the real thing. Only obviously you will have no movement on the replicas.

My only real complaint can be the cost of these items. Depending upon where you get them, they can be a bit overpriced. My suggestion is that you shop around a bit to insure that you get the best bang for your buck. Pun totally intended!

I recently began open water swimming in preparation for my first sprint tri. I was using a wetsuit but not very happy with it. After looking at several new wetsuits, I became discouraged because the only good ones seemed to be way out of my budget. After reading reviews on the Synergy Endorphin Women's Sleeveless wetsuit, I liked both the price point and the bouyancy it seemed to offer. After ordering the wetsuit from TriMonkey (an awesome Amazon seller!) it arrived promptly. I tried it on and WOW! I am very claustiphobic so having a wetsuit that does not compress my chest or neck is a must. This wetsuit also has an awesome feature in the back that makes it very easy to zip up and down without assistance. Plus, there is a velcro enclosure so your strap doesn't float around in the water, and the neck is low and adjustable. Putting on and taking off the wetsuit is a breeze. And swimming in it? Awesome. Highly recommended!

Putter sets up very well and has great looks!! This beats a golo 5 scotty cameron in my opinion...could use a grip change. The face rolls great, you may have to watch yourself on really quick greens... I give it a 9 out of 10 because grip it comes with is weird.

Showers Pass Elite Pro Jacket - Men's Black/Black, M - Men's Review

Used this on my bike in moderate rain and it was wonderful. Incredibly light. The vents are also great but wicking base layer is a must. Zipper is a pain as some have complained but is now not a problem after a wearing it a few times. I even used it on a very wet and cool fishing trip and I stayed the warmest and driest of the gang even though others were using traditional and heavier rain gear. I am very impressed!

I do ride with a lot of gear more than 80 miles every week. I pack my lunch, books, water, extra clothes, and locks. The weight adds up. And as a 160 lb rider, that puts a lot of stress on your wheels. I have been breaking spokes every 2 weeks recently so I thought it's about time for a replacement. I got this wheel because it's reasonably priced with quality parts. DT Swiss? 105's? C'mon it's not the best, but for a commuter like me? that's all I need. Product was delivered in a timely manner. It was true and smooth rolling out of the box. Don't forget to adjust your cones before you ride though. They are a little bit tight. The A23 rims are also REALLY wide. I heard that these are well known for being wide tires but when the wheel came I realized the reviews weren't kidding. I had to adjust my brakes to accommodate these wide rims. They are great wheels, very durable and very stiff. I would recommend buying this wheel for the everyday commuter.
