Pelican Review

I received one of these lights as a T&E (test and evaluation) from the factory rep. It is a little smaller and feels more comfortable than my streamlight SL-20X and is brighter than anything else I have. It seems this light, with it's extremely long (6-11 hours) run time would be just the ticket for searches and its ability to use standard C cells makes it good for going out in the boonies without a charger. One of my officers has been using it and is going to buy one himself. He really likes the ability to see through darkly tinted windows on a traffic stop. My only criticism is it would be nice if it had a little wider beam for up close. It still will light up a good section of room, but it would be even better if it had a little more spread (of course this depends on how you use it if this would be better).
