Man, this is a nice knife. The Ti is a nice medium gray and the scales feel like they have a beed blast finish. This givs them the right amount of grippynes to ensure a secure grip. The back-spring runs the full length of the handle. So, the back of the grip is enclosed. The back spring is also of a lighter finish. This gives a nice contrast between the two scales. It also feels to me that the detent is a bit stronger than the new FRN models. I'm assuming the full-lenth spring gives it a bit more "umpfh". The blade has a nice flat ground finish and the edge was sharp out of the box. But I ended up re-profiling it to a 20 deg per side edge on my Lansky Sharpener. I just prefer that angle. As to the weight of the knife, it's a bit heavier than the FRN models. The Ti version weighed in at 99 grams on my scale, whereas my FRN model (hollow ground blade) weighs 56.Most of the consumer Reviews tell that the "Spyderco UK Penknife Titanium PlainEdge Knife" are high quality item.
