Great traction, but you lose a TON of glide, and I mean a TON. I was skinning up a patch of ice, and had to back down to a safer spot because of the wind, and there was NO glide. Also, no glide in soft snow, or spring snow. But, the traction is great, they go on and come off very easy. They are really easy to pull apart even without the included skin savers. The tail clips work really well, better than the older versions that pop off frequently, and as always, I love the toe hooks, they make it so they work with any ski.
