Jaques Garden Bowls Bocce Ball Set Review

I was looking for a set of Bowls. Not Bocce, but bowls, which should have a bias in them so that they curve when rolled. The product description does not specify whether this is the case. Neither did any product reviews, which is why I felt compelled to write this one.

Honestly, when the item title includes "Bocce", I really suspect that there will be no bias. But the Jaques of London website has products with the same stock photo that do claim to have a bias, so I thought maybe these would as well. Even though they have multiple products with this photo, and they do not all claim to have a bias. So I wasn't sure.

I took the risk and bought them, and was glad to find when they arrived that they are indeed lawn bowls, and not bocce. Another thing that was not mentioned in the description is that these are 3/4 size bowls, rather than the full size used by the pros. I guess this is what is meant by the "Garden" part of the product title. This suits me fine, but might not be what others are looking for.

They come in a decent looking, green, cubical carry-case made of probably nylon. The bowls themselves, and the pallino they come with, appear to be of high-quality. Conisdering with what you must pay to get full-sized bowls, this purchase is an excellent value.
