We set up every week for 4 to 8 hours of play. Our group has both advanced players spiking into the net and novices that run into it. We needed a net that is strong and sturdy so it can handle the abuse and last for years. We have used several nets over the years so far this is my favorite. The wider tape makes the net stronger than other options out there and this model also has the dowel rods stitched in which makes setting the net firm for all day play a cinch. I have not had to re-tighten this net during the hours of use, something common with weaker constructed nets.

While I prefer the value added by the dowels rods I do recommend caution if you plan on stowing and carrying since the rods are not removable you can't fold the net in half making the net just shy of 3' tall which will not fit into standard backpacks. So if you need to get a backpack I recommend buying a 34" or taller backpack for easy stow & carry.

I didn't want to spend a lot of money on a bag that would only be used to store net and other sandy items so I purchased the "Extreme Pak Dgt Camo Mountaineers Backpack". This bag is light weight but sturdy and just tall enough to hold the net but also has plenty of volume and side pouches for other items like ball, lines, pump and towels. Other tall backpack options are out there but many were over twice the cost and had unnecessary heavy internal frames.
