Really like this bag. It can do both skiing and ice climbing in a nice size day pack. It fits my 122 waist 4frnt Renegades. The backing can be taken out and a 3/4 length air pad inserted for an emergency splint. The side pocket allows easy access to goodies at the bottom of the pack. The only problem is that there is not a really good place to put your shovel. But it is a minor inconvenience for a great multi-function pack.

I tried a number of PFDs and think this is one of the best. The Deluxe model adjusts nicely to fit many body sizes, and the fit is quite comfortable. This manual ripcord version is perfect for flyfishing in rivers with strong currents. My research indicates the quality of this one is much better than the cheaper versions you can find. Comes with a carry bag, an attached whistle and has a nozzle for inflating by mouth. Once it is inflated, the vest is bright yellow with reflective tape on it. The neck support is excellent, and you should have no trouble staying afloat. A clear window allows a quick check of the green/red status indicator. Although the CO2 cannister connection is better quality than cheaper versions, I would recommend having a spare one.

Danuu Buddy 15-18 foot Kayak Cover Review

I ordered this item for my 13 foot composite kayak. I do not have a garage for storage and end up carrying the kayak on the car rack a lot during the summer. I have the J racks on my car so the bottom of the kayak is exposed. It was not clear from the product description or the website photos that the bottom 1/4 to 1/3 of the boat would not be covered. If it had been stated or clearly shown, I would have not ordered this item.

I received the cover yesterday and attempted to put it on last night. In an attempt to try to cover the entire boat, I got a grass stain on the cover. For this reason, Outdoor Play would not allow me to return the item and they did not offer any other type of compensation for the innacurate representation of this item. Basically, I am out $154.00 and am in search of a different cover that will protect the entire boat.

If you are carrying your canoe or kayak bottom down on your rack, this may be a great cover. But consumers beware. If you are carrying your boat with the bottom exposed, this may not be the cover for you.

Scarpa Vapor V Climbing Shoe- Women's Climbing shoes 38.5 Turquoise Review

First off, I'm an avid climber. I climb outdoors in the summer and plastic during winter months about 3 to 5 times a week. I go through climbing shoes pretty quickly and I've tried quite a few. I wouldn't say that I'm a big Scarpa girl, but I've owned the Rockettes prior to getting the Vapor Vs. Those were my favorite shoes by far for bouldering and project climbs and they worked amazing. While both are made by the same company, the Vapor Vs is a total departure in design and performace from the Rockettes. The Rockettes were designed by Heinz Merriacher, the same guy that designed the La Sportiva Testarossas which is the most expensive (and arguably the best performing) shoe in the La Sportiva line. This meant for an all business no fun (less comfort) shoe, while the Vapor Vs are all about the comfort. These shoes are designed to be a comfortable all-arounder that performs well on plastic as well as real rock. The lorica and suede upper on these shoes are amazingly comfortable, by far the most comfortable on any shoe I've ever owned. The slight down turn is awesome for tiny foot holds and the xs grip 2 is super sticky that even a novice climber would not have an excuse but send her project.

Overall, I am very happy with these shoes. If I were to point out complaints about them, there would only be 2 things that I think could use improving. 1st is the rubbing on the back heel which may be caused by too much material on the back of the shoe; and 2) would be the sizing. I found that the sizing on the Vapor Vs were about a full size smaller than most shoes, hence I had to go for my actual shoe size and get these at a 7 U.S./38 EU. I wear a street shoe size 38- 38.5 and usually order climbing shoes tight. I wear a 5.10 anasazi LV at size 6.5, La Sportiva Miura women's vs at 36, Cobras at 35.5, and the Rockettes at a size 37. The Vapor Vs fit differently from the Rockettes that I had to size up a full size from what I normally wear in Scarpas which is a 38 EU/7 U.S. If your on the hunt for a good all around climbing shoe for indoor, outdoor, bouldering---just a good reliable all around shoe, look no further!
