Orient Marshall #EM7E003D Men's Stainless Steel Day/Date 50M Self Winding Automatic Watch Review

I purchased this watch for myself as a birthday present and I'm glad I did. This watch, the Orient Marshall, is the nicest-looking watch I own. In typical Orient tradition, it is very well made and very accurate for an automatic watch. It gains about a second a day which is exceptional. This Orient Marshall watch is available in 4 other colors, a silvery maroon, a silver gray, a silver green and a black shade as well. The face of this model is a bit more turquoise than the shade of blue shown in the picture. The stainless steel band was the only disappointment with this watch. It uses metal clips to hold the links together rather than using solid links with pins. Many of the Orient watches at this price point use the solid link design, which gives the watch a more expensive (and heavier!) feel. Nevertheless, the band itself is quite comfortable once you size it for your wrist. I removed 4 links with a jeweler's screwdriver. Check out watch band link removal on Youtube. It's not hard to learn how to remove links from the various watchband types and you'll save yourself the aggravation and cost of a trip to the jewelry store!

In the two months I've owned it, I've had a few people compliment me on the looks of this watch. I've thought about buying the silver-gray version because for some strange reason, it is routinely priced at $109 while the other colors are usually sold for $159. Normally, I buy my watches from Amazon, but in this case, I purchased it from OrientwatchUSA.com -an Amazon partner, since for $175, I got free shipping a lanyard, Orient T-shirt and an Orient Quartz dress watch. If you're looking for a really nice watch, available in several colors, the Orient Marshall would be an excellent choice. Never having to buy a battery for it every couple of years is a real plus!
