Tops Knives PWB01 Prather War Bowie Fixed Blade Knife with Matte Gray Linen Micarta Handles Review

Honesty.....I have to admit that I purchased this knife, solely on the basis that
I thought it looked cool.

I knew this was a combat oriented knife, and being that I don't get into a lot of
knife fights, I didn't figure this would really ever get much use.

Well, I decided to use this as a "one tool option" on a hike in/minimalist camp expedition.
It worked great. It was big and strong enough to handle the heavier tasks, like batoning and
limbing, but just small enough for carving/crafting. I was really impressed.

I was a little worried at first that the tip might not hold up to batoning, but ya know...its actually got some good thickness up there, and so it wasn't a problem.

It was also quite reassuring to have it on my side...when out in the woods alone at night,
your standard bushcraft style knife, and even most survival oriented knives just don't give you the same sense of security that the Prather war Bowie will.

I think Topps knives are a little pricey, at least when you consider competitors, but I don't think you will find anything out there quite like this. Not with equal quality anyway. I was originally going to give this 4 stars, dropping one due to the price tag,
but my surprise at its versatility tipped the scales in this knife's favor, and I'm going with the full 5.

I have had many tents over the years and this is one of my favorites. It is always dry when it rains and it is easy for me to stand in. It has plenty of places to store things. I use it on all my scouting trips. If this is going to be your first tent, this may not be the best choice. It is a little confusing to set up. You would be better off getting a simple dome tent. Overall, this is a great tent.

Intova IC12 Digital Waterproof Camera Review

The Intova IC 12 is an amazing feat of underwater engineering. With an updated processor and HD video capabilities, it surpasses the capabilities of the IC 10. I purchased this camera about 8 months ago and I have dove with it all around the world: the Med, Roatan, and Hawaii. There is no better camera available on the market that provides for such versatile picture/video results. It's compact size is designed perfectly for traveling and does not hinder its performance at deep dives (120ft).

I have been a dedicated user of Intova torches and feel they are unmatched during night dives and I finally chose to upgrade from the IC 10 to the IC 12 and the pictures and video I am capturing are simply unmatched compared to my peers equipment (Canon, Sealife, Nikon).

Lastly, the customer service with Intova coupled with quick responses has been unmatched. While diving a wreck off the south shore of Oahu, we were experiencing a bit of chop. As I was climbing back up the ladder, the boat rocked a bit harder than expected and my housing took a pretty tough hit. The camera was not compromised and the housing was still water tight, however, and I had damaged some of the external buttons. I called Intova as soon as I was topside and I had a new housing within 10 days (and its performing just as expected).

Great product, all of the dive shops here on Oahu carry Intova torches and cameras, and they're reliable.

Volquartsen RUG 10/22 22LR SIL HP ACTION KIT PLUS Review

Product is well made and it does reduce the triger pull weight but it is still full of creep - not crisp at all not even close.
I had to get out my old trigger tools and stone the hammer notch quite a bit to get a clean let off, then a light polish and it was good to go.
Problem is i could have done the same thing to the original Ruger parts but i didn't want to do it at all.
This is a Fail in my book.

I could only use these boots twice. The first time, the strap that runs around the ankle started to rub my horse's ankle raw. Fortunately I know my horse well enough to know something was wrong and got off and checked him and removed the boots before there was much damage done. I hadn't used the gaitors with them the first time, so I thought I would give them the benefit of the doubt and try again. By the time just walking around was done my horse was holding each hoof up waiting for me to take the boots off. There wasn't any outward damage done, but he was obviously very uncomfortable with them. After saying all this, was it an improper fit? Not that I could see. They seemed to fit the hoof fine, other than the velcro outer closures were a bit short, but able to close. I had sized him according to the directions very carefully on the Easycare website, to ensure I was getting him the correct boot and the correct size when I ordered. When I received them, I fitted them according to the directions of not getting them dirty, they seemed to fit fine. But as they say, "The proof is in the pudding". Now I am extremely leery to try to buy another pair of any other type of boot, because once you try them out, they are yours. No returns. I don't care to keep putting money out there and have the product not be usable.

I got these cleats after doing alot of research and found that Asics makes quality products. After using the cleats I find them pretty awesome. They are extremely light. I have some Mercurial Vapors and they are about the same in weight. The quality is great and durability shouldnt be an issue. Break in period doesnt really exist on this shoe so that is always a plus. The upper is a thin synthetic but not as thin as the Nike Mercurial Vapor. The upper is also somewhat sticky kind of like Adidas Adizeros which is good for grip on the ball. Overall I am extremely happy with the purchase and would recommend the cleats.
